Death

At some point or another, we will all meet with the face of Death. On here, we mean it literally. But on the plus side, on here (like so many other forums) you won't stay dead forever! There are a couple of ways on RYF that your character can be brought back from the other side, your choice as to how you go about it. Select from the choices below! NOTE: The first section is simply there for reference now! It is no longer an available option.

To begin with, we have altered our rules here due to incorporating heaven, hell, and the other side. If you die, you're allowed to roleplay within the heaven, hell & the other side boards. And only in those boards as a ghost/soul. All other ongoing roleplays you have ongoing must be placed on pause until you are revived (That's the whole 72 hr/3 days wait). Post made while dead on any other boards (except for the OOC boards) will be deleted on the spot. While in either of these places, you'll have to figure out a way to revive yourself.

I. On the other side, you have the option to communicate with the anchor, demons, or angels in order to gain help. Cautious when dealing with demons for you could just end up dead again. Only this time you'll find yourself getting cozy in hell..

II. In heaven & hell: these are much more difficult to crawl out of. Death, Lucifer, and God have the ability to pull you out from these. But strong witches also have the means to revive you. You can't communicate with anyone but demons or angels while in either of these, so you're just hoping someone notices you're dead and attempts to save you.

The Veil & The Other Side

(This option is no longer applicable, but will continue to be where Supernatural spirits go.)


If you don't know, the Other Side (along with the veil) were both created by Qetsiyah. It is a dimension where spirits of the Supernatural reside, and the veil is the only thing separating the world of the living from the Other Side. When Qetsiyah managed to slip out and revive herself, she also managed to shatter the veil, she herself created. Damaging the balance she had kept by allowing the spirits of the Supernatural to be visible to all, but with no dimension in order to bring harm (meaning people can pass through them easily). Those wandering spirits managed to return to their bodies and once again have a taste at life.

Heaven & Hell

We've all heard about heaven and hell, so we should know how these two separate. Human souls are the only one's permitted above and below (unless you've been turned by Lucifer into a demon.. Then you automatically go straight for hell rather than the Other Side). It's A LOT trickier to live again if you're in either of these places (because you're not really a spirit, you're more of a sanctioned soul). So humans, be careful as your life is the most fragile on the forum.

Forms of Revival

I. Meet Death!

The angel of death, the grim reaper - while Death has his name for a purpose, he will be acting as a partial necromancer within the forum! It does go against his beliefs in the balance of the natural laws, but is known to make an exception or two (or plenty if leashed by Lucifer). Revivals from Death have both it's pro and it's con. Pro: If you choose to be revived by the Grim Reaper himself, the 72 hrs (3 days) are discharged (he is the only one who will break this forum rule for obvious reasons, meaning that as soon as he revives you, you may pick up again. Con: The con to this is that he will work for deals. Meaning persuasion. If you can offer him something of interest he will revive you (which lets face it guys, it could be anything considering he spared Chicago from havoc for it's delicious pizza). If you have nothing to offer the grim reaper, he will settle for the eternal rest of your soul. So be cautious when approaching Death for a revival (lets also keep in mind he was willing to fetch Sam's soul from hell for Dean. Time to get cozy with Dean people!) Note: He can revive people from hell/heaven/and the other side.

II. Lucifer/Demons

Well, he betrayed God, and could easily betray you. Nonetheless, Lucifer and his minions are very capable of reviving you. The price may be high, and it may come with a hidden clause, so you may have to think it through before you ask the very devil for such a favor or your soul could be placed up for the picking! But, we all know Lucifer is arrogant, selfish, holds no remorse for others, vengeful, manipulative, evil, violent, bossy, sadistic and a tyrant. There is a possibility that he'll revive you without you asking him to, on his own free will, on his own agenda - as a demon, for whatever plans he has up his sleeve (he did sacrifice a whole lot of subordinate demons to summon Death after all. Your life means nothing to Lucifer.) Only thing is, he doesn't have access to the souls of heaven. So he'll only be able to aid you if you're on the other side or in hell.

III. Castiel/Angels/Seraphs/Archangels

Angels, Seraphs, and Archangels have the ability to revive you if you're found in the Other Side or in heaven. While angels can do so with the connection through heaven, Seraphs are a higher level and can do it on their own (meaning less hassle for all of you). Archangels are the highest level of angel and of these there are only four: Michael, Lucifer, Raphael, Gabriel. We already know Lucifer is twisted, but with the right motivation it shouldn't be hard to have an archangel revive you.

IV.  Chuck/God *Partial*

It's not a surprise that the creator of almost anything, humans included, is able to revive the dead. However, he is not your choice to choose. The man chooses on his own who he will give life to again and if he even wants to. So this isn't a concrete way of revival at all. But it's a possibility.

V. Witches

Witches have the ability to tap into the dark powers in order to resurrect someone (no matter where they are). Keep in mind that weak witches will most likely die reviving you. Stronger witches have a better chance of surviving if they will attempt to revive you. Example: Bonnie died bringing Jeremy back, Qetsiyah managed to revive herself without any recoil. Well, except for the shattering of the veil). Witches can revive you whether you are on the Other Side, in heaven or in hell.
